Hackathon Objectives and Tracks

Google has launched the 'All Things Agentic' hackathon, focusing on moving beyond simple LLM loops toward autonomous agents capable of managing complex, asynchronous workflows. Participants must build solutions using Gemini 3.5 (or newer) and Google Cloud services. The competition is divided into three distinct tracks:

  • The Taskmaster: Focuses on agents that monitor events and execute multi-step workflows across existing tools without constant human supervision.
  • The Collaborative Partner: Focuses on intelligent assistants that guide users through challenges, remember context, and improve through iterative feedback.
  • The Fortified Enterprise Fleet: Focuses on production-ready, secure networks of agents that are discoverable, observable, and governed for enterprise-scale operations.

An additional 'Startup Excellence' prize is available for established startups applying these tracks to specific business challenges.

Technical Requirements and Submission Criteria

To qualify, projects must be built using at least one supported developer tool (Agent Development Kit, Gen AI SDK, anti-gravity SDK, or Genkit) and leverage Google Cloud infrastructure (e.g., Cloud Run, Firestore, Cloud SQL).

Submissions require:

  • Public Repository: Complete code with a detailed README and deployment instructions.
  • Architecture Diagram: A clear visualization of the agent's integration with Gemini and Google Cloud services.
  • Demo Video: A maximum four-minute video demonstrating the application in real-time and verifying its backend deployment on Google Cloud.

Scoring and Incentives

Participants can earn bonus points by incorporating additional Google AI models (such as Gemma or Veo), documenting their build process publicly (blogs, podcasts, or videos), or sharing their progress on social media using the designated hashtag. The total prize pool is $180,000, consisting of cash and Google Cloud credits, with the added incentive of networking opportunities with judges. Submissions are open from August 3 to August 31, 2026.
