Expanded Agentic Capabilities

Google has released Antigravity 2.0, a significant update to its agentic coding environment designed to compete with tools like Cursor. The update introduces a desktop application that supports multi-agent orchestration, allowing developers to execute complex tasks simultaneously. Users can now design custom subagent workflows and schedule background tasks, with native support for integrating projects directly into Google AI Studio, Android, and Firebase environments.

Developer Tooling and Ecosystem

To support professional workflows, Google is introducing:

  • CLI Tool: A new command-line interface for terminal-based agent creation, replacing the previous Gemini CLI.
  • Antigravity SDK: A new SDK allowing developers to build custom agents and connect them to Google Cloud projects.
  • AI Studio Integration: Developers can now export projects from AI Studio for local development, and enterprise users gain access to custom agent templates.
  • Voice Support: Native voice command integration, mirroring similar updates across Google’s consumer suite.

Model Integration and Pricing

The platform is powered by the new Gemini 3.5 Flash model. Google is also restructuring its AI subscription tiers to accommodate varying usage needs. A new $100/month 'AI Ultra' plan offers 5x higher limits than the Pro plan, while the top-tier $200/month plan (reduced from $250) provides 20x higher limits. Additionally, Google is embedding Antigravity’s capabilities into Search, enabling users to generate and interact with mini-apps in real-time during search queries.
