Proactive Workflow Automation

IrisGo aims to transition AI from reactive chat interfaces to proactive agents that anticipate and execute user needs. The core functionality centers on "learning by observation": users perform a task once, and the agent records the steps to replicate the process autonomously in the future. This is designed to offload repetitive clerical work—such as invoice processing, report generation, and email drafting—from knowledge workers, allowing them to focus on high-level conceptual tasks.

Hybrid Architecture and Privacy

To address the security concerns inherent in desktop automation, IrisGo utilizes a hybrid architecture. It prioritizes on-device processing to maintain data privacy, only offloading to the cloud for more complex tasks. The company emphasizes that cloud-based processing is strictly opt-in and utilizes end-to-end encryption. Beyond general office automation, the platform includes a specialized coding assistant for developers, positioning itself as a comprehensive desktop companion.

Scaling Through Hardware Partnerships

IrisGo is pursuing a distribution strategy centered on OEM partnerships to preinstall the software on new hardware. The company has already secured a deal with Acer and is actively seeking similar agreements with other laptop manufacturers. This hardware-integrated approach is supported by $2.8 million in seed funding led by Andrew Ng’s AI Fund, with additional backing from Nvidia and Google, signaling strong industry interest in agentic desktop software.
